This bathroom renovation in Surrey, BC was designed with long-term, multigenerational living in mind, creating a space that supports both busy family routines and moments to unwind. The homeowners wanted a layout that would work just as well for their young child today as it would in the years to come, which led to the design of a walk-in shower where little ones can comfortably sit and play while parents get ready, paired with a freestanding bathtub for slower evenings at home. Soft LED lighting was thoughtfully layered into the space, allowing for a more relaxed glow at night without needing to rely on full overhead lighting.
A key part of this renovation was guiding the homeowners through where to invest and where to be more mindful of budget. They chose to prioritize easy-to-maintain finishes, including large-format tile to reduce grout lines and a carefully sloped walk-in shower designed to keep water contained and the space functioning as intended. To balance this, we selected a prefabricated vanity that still felt elevated while helping manage both budget and timeline. The result is a modern, family-friendly bathroom renovation that feels calm, practical, and designed to support everyday life with ease.
