This kitchen renovation in North Vancouver, BC was designed for a busy professional who loves to entertain and wanted a space that felt both elevated and easy to gather in. Working within a compact condo footprint, the goal was to create a kitchen that felt open and connected, where guests could move through the space comfortably and still feel part of the moment. By removing the dividing wall, the kitchen now stretches across the home, allowing light to travel further and creating a more natural flow from one end of the space to the other. The island extends into the former dining area, becoming a central place to prep, serve, and stay connected while hosting.
The design balances softness and structure through layered materials and thoughtful detailing. A continuous reeded walnut island and hood composition anchor the space, with integrated lighting used to highlight texture and add depth throughout the day and into the evening. Full-height cabinetry and integrated appliances keep the overall look clean while maximizing storage within the smaller footprint. Every detail was considered to support both function and atmosphere, resulting in a modern condo kitchen renovation that feels warm, intentional, and designed for hosting.
